Client currently using retin A and hydroquinone. Where to start?

I have a client coming in, in a few days that is currently using retin A, and hydroquinone. She has had cystic acne in the past and says she has some acne now which is why she is using the retin A. She also says she has a lot of pigmentation, much of which is from the acne. My question here is where do you think I should start with her? My first thought is to try and switch her to some safer products that can still be beneficial to her, but which kind of products should I start with since her skin is probably pretty sensitized? Let me know what you all think and where you would start.

Thanks.

Awesome I have both those products and really like them. I will definitely have her start using all of those. I havent been using the line long but everything I have tried I love and I have never had such amazing customer service.

Hi Sara, since she is on prescribed topical medications you cannot tell her to stop using them but you can work with her skin as if it is sensitized. Use a professional line that is specifically designed to treat sensitive skin and focus on hydration and barrier repair. After you get to know her and her skin then you can decide an appropriate treatment program. the goal is to promote healthy skin which means hydration, protection and a healthy ph balanced barrier.

Basic equipment such as galvanic current can give some fabulous results with out sensitizing the skin. This is definately a "back to basics" client.
