I have a couple of clients who have one or 2 cystic break outs on their chin area. They have been asking me to recommend products that would help with the break out.Does anyone have any recommendations.

I would also like recommendations on a good acne line to carry......not too expensive , but effective, as this side of business is one I want to grow.

Thanks everyone

FaceReality products and program are what is really working.  Not that others don't, but Face Reality knows that the skin adapts to products and you have to have the ability to "switch it up" for your clients to get and STAY clear...  http://FaceRealityAcneClinic.com

Nondy

Read Dr. Fulton's Acne RX book..... the cystic acne that is hormonal is a problem even he wasn't really able to "fix"... you basically need to help your client understand their cycle and start treating BEFORE it hits.  Have them journal their monthly cycles and skin fluctuations.
I totally agree with this.  I have read that this type of acne is most common in your thirties around the chin area.  I am prone to it as well.  Pretreat pretreat pretreat!!

Yup, I agree. I call it the "preemptive strike".  Strengthen the homecare before they hit and then back off after the cycle.

@Hayley - as Nondy mentioned, I have a full acne line and training.  Let me know if you want to know more about it - don't want to get spammy here.  Also, you might consider putting this kind of post in the Acne Specialists group.  There's more than just me answering questions in that group.

Great book that Acne Rx! It's my acne bible.

Thanks everyone:

I'm sorry Laura, I thought I had put this on the Acne Specialists group... I wasn't paying attention :)

I will definitely invest in the Acne RXbook.

Where can I purchase the book?

amazon.com? I borrowed it from the library to read.

FINALLY Vivant is selling it through Amazon.  I had tried previously with no luck.

One happy esthetician :)

Just ordered the Acne RX Book..........look forward to receiving and reading it.

Thanks everyone for your advice. I work alone so it's wonderful to be able to ask advice from other professionals :)

me too! that's what I love about this forum- you don't feel alone out there!!
