I would like to know what others recommend/use for performing extractions..
Do you use your extraction device on the majority of your clients? Would it take the place of a facial cleansing scrub when using a device?
I was told my dermasweep would perform extractions but not sure it's enough..

The Lip Treatment is scheduled for a 15 minute slot. For the event I cut the time down a bit. I treat the lips and the area surrounding area to address the fine lines.
What I do for my lip treatment is.....
Begin by covering the eyes with an eye pillow and do a little aromatherapy.
Cleanse lips and massage gently with Mega Purifying Cleanser and the Micro Scrub (Glymed)
Remove all product and use the cavitation setting on the lips.
Use Intense Peptide (Glymed) with the sonophoresis setting
Apply Hydro Gel Glymed) to the area and use the microcurrent settings
Wipe away any excess product and finish with Cell Protection Balm.
If you have a protocol you use I would love to hear it. Always looking for new ideas.
Thanks!
Hello. I prefer to do manual extractions over using any sort of extractor. As long as my client is not contraindicated to using the steamer; I just apply a small amount of disincrustation gel during exfolliation over the comedones and then apply the steam for a few moments. The disincrustation gel along with the steamer and exfolliant really helps open the pores making the extraction process so much quicker, safer, and easier. Most clients really appreciate these steps when having extractions done.
Hi Angela, which disincrustation gel do you use?
Hi Denise! It's from the LaTHERAPIE skincare line. We use it during lab time in school, as well as during our weekend public clinics. It's becoming difficult to find, so I will have to ask my proctors where to purchase it. I'll be graduating soon, and would like to have it for my own personal home use. I have oily skin, so it works well for me. It's really great at loosening up those stubborn comedones.
