Has anyone used Image SkinCare? I tried it and I loved it but when I was talking with my MERZ rep (ive been working with her for years. Before Merz i worked with her using Obagi and ZO) she gave me a look and said to keep looking! The kind of look that really made me back off. Now im second guessing myself! We are a very small medical spa and im in need of good products at a good price (really looking for a medical based line)! Any reviews on Image or know of another company that can help my needs??

THANKS

Osmosis maybe, they even have something that is geared toward med spas I believe. I love skin scripts but I'm not sure if that would be considered medical. Possibly IS clinical.

The Pro of image skin care is

They have GREAT training at hardly any cost,, maybe $9 per class.

They have easy to follow protocols with affordable samples kits for clients to try

Their price point is great, affordable for the average person

Love their low downtime peels and client do too

Now the downfalls

Not the cleanest products but cleaner then some, so if you work in an area where people are conscientious of ingredients, this could be a negative.

They are sold everywhere, even on amazon and ebay... They say this is illegal but still don't believe it.

They have a min order of of $250, so if you only need a few products, you have to buy more. So for solo Esti's this could be a problem.

I have been using Image for several years and love it, so do my clients.

Ive been using Image for 4 years now and love it more today then when I started. They are allways coming up with new and better products. They had a 250 order min but just canceled it this week.

My back bar is PCA  I love it and there is no minimum order.  They have great ingredients, many options for all skin types, and are ever evolving.  Give them a look pcaskin.com

I also love PCA... They also offer great training!

Go here and maybe this will give you some ideas:  http://www.skincareprofessionals.com/forum/topics/this-is-what-dest...

and as for Obagi and Zo, allow me to say this:

Dr Obagi sold out to a private equity firm and now says this about Obagi:

Dr. Obagi The OMP products were great products for their time, but today I believe they are outdated. I conceived and brought to market the original Obagi Nu-Derm® System more than 35 years ago based on the then-current skincare principles — Correction, Stimulation, and Bleaching/Blending.

THE SKIN IS ALWAYS DOING ONE OF TWO THINGS:  EXFOLIATING AND HYDRATING (KEEPING MOISTURE IN - PROTECTING)

CORRECTION = EXFOLIATE AND LIFT DEAD SKIN CELLS

STIMULATION = ANOTHER WORD FOR EXFOLIATE; SAME!

BLEACHING/BLENDING = CONTROLLING THE MELANOCYTE CELLS

WRONG DR OBAGI:  WHAT YOU DID 35 YEARS AGO STILL HOLDS TRUE TO THIS DAY! YOU ARE JUST USING DIFFERENT WORDS.

These principles served physicians and patients very well for many years but are no longer sufficient or suitable for everyone.

WRONG DR. OBAGI:  THE SKIN HAS NOT CHANGED  EVER!!!!  THE STRATUM CORNEUM (SC) AND THE DERMIS STILL PLAY THE SAME ROLE AND THE EPIDERMIS STILL DOES TWO THINGS:  CREATES THE SC AND HOUSE THE MELANOCYTE CELLS

We have discovered within the last 10 years the negative effects of inflammation and glycation, the need to enhance skin strength and increase the skin’s ability to resist negative effects of many internal and external factors, and the need to enhance our skin’s ability to repair damaged skin DNA.

WRONG AGAIN DR. OBAGI:  YOUR SKIN CARE CANNOT REPAIR DAMAGED DNA AND NEITHER CAN MINE.  AND THE AFFECTS OF INFLAMMATION HAVE BEEN KNOWN FOR 20+ YEARS.  YOU KNOW THIS!

OMP produces the Obagi Nu-Derm® System and disease-specific system of products (Obagi CLENZIderm® and Obagi Rosaclear®) and anti-aging products (Obagi ELASTIderm®). But with our ZO® Medical products, I have incorporated all of the agents and ingredients necessary to achieve the same results as the disease-specific systems through well-defined and easy-to-follow protocols while restoring skin health at the same time. The result: a more flexible product line, better treatment and happier patients.

OKAY FINALLY YOU SAY SOMETHING BELIEVABLE. YOU WENT BACK INTO THE LAB AND CREATED A SKIN CARE LINE THAT COPIES WHAT OBAGI DID USING INGREDIENT COMPLEXES THAT ARE NOW MADE BY LABS THAT WERE NOT AVAILABLE TO YOU WHEN YOU FORMULATED OBAGI 35 YEARS AGO.

I hope this helps and the information is taken in the correct light.  Skin care does not have to be a mystery... it has to be said with care and respect to those who do not totally understand the ins and outs of skin care formulations and the skin.
