Looking for suggestions for a more natural skin care line

I am a new Esthetician and have only worked with Dermalogica. I want to learn about another line and would like the line to be on a more natural side. Preferably paraben free and sulfate free. Must be cruelty free too.  I have found it hard to find a line that shows a lot of result and is also more natural. Anyone have any suggestions?

Sara:  When I was looking for a product line, my best bet was to attend a skin care convention in my area.  There you will find MULTIPLE skin care lines and you can ask and talk to the reps and educators. Take there samples and play with them.  If you have to buy, it may be worth it. There you have a few days to make your decision before you invest in something you haven't sampled.  I personally wasn't interested in a natural line, so I cant refer anything to you, but I dont know if there really IS a natural line.  There has to be preservatives of some kind, it has to last on your shelf. For being new to the field, take as many skin care classes you can.  There's SO much to learn.  Good Luck.
Thank you for the advice. I have gone to one convention already and plan to go to many more. Is there a line that you recommend that you have had good luck with?

Hi Sara,

I use A Natural Difference, it is natural no fillers and no chemical preservatives, including no parabens or sulfates. There is also Eminence which is also really good but a little more expensive.

I hope this helps!

Hi Sara~

I use and LOVE Vital Therapy, non-toxic and paraben free. The product practically sells itself after the clients first treatment.

If you are interested contact their rep, she will help you get started.

I'm a big fan of Prana http://www.spaskincareproducts.org/ , they are natural & organic & do a lot of shows

I use and retail ilike organic skin care by Szep Elet.  I've seen amazing results with this line.  It is a bit spendy though.

AT the risk of taking a ton of crap from some people on this forum, some people are down right mean actually, I have to tell you that one of the most underestimated product lines by many professionals in the market place is Arbonne. I LOVE this product and the culture of this company. The cell renewal mask was a collaboration with a major university, and won an international award this year. There is so much science behind these formulas.

If you want more information, you can private message me and/or go to my website for more information. I have excellent return business, loyal clients, referrals, and lots of compliments, and that makes it easier to ignore the crap. This is not for everyone, but if you can over come the fear of what other people think, then I would encourage you to take a look. It is not all natural, but 100% vegan, safe, and very effective. As much as I dislike the resistance on this forum, it has been a life changing decision for me, and I am grateful someone was bold enough to tell me about it.

Actually - I HAVE looked at the ingredients.

Cant see anything I like about arbonne...and honestly I have seen several clients who tried it with poor results. Jami - If you are a LICENSED esthetician, why would you ever pick this product?

And why would you recruit on a forum for professionals?

I am not being "mean" just honest.

Skin doesn't lie...results are plainly evident.

I use Elina Organics . . . check out her website.  I love the products and get fantastic results. . . her new Diamond line is great!

HI Sara!

What a coincidence!  I have my own Dayspa and started with Dermalogica but became disallusioned with it also.   As time went on and I learned more about it I too felt that it is not nearly as natural as led to believe.  I was disappointed and angry at being misled.  Then I decided to change my line to one more fitting with one more in line with my  own personal belief system.  I looked at a number of lines and finally decided to go with Pevonia Botanica .... about 2 years ago..   I am very pleased with it!!   The results I've seen with numerous clients have FAR surpassed what ( if any) results were achieved with Dermalogica.   The hardest part initially is for clients to trust me and the products enough to buy them... once they do, the overwhelming majority continue to come back, wanting to purchase something else from the product line.   I have been extremely pleased with the results with my own skin.    Good Luck!    ......

p.s.   Pevonia is paraben and sulfate free and utilizes some impressive technology in making their products so that the delivery of ingredients is more efficient.   I am satisfied with the naturalness and I also agree strongly in have preservatives.. I feel that a line that is 100% natural is asking for trouble....   once that lid is opened, even something from the air can get in and begin growing...  I want my product to be as safe from contamination as possible.    If you are curious to know more, you might contact Pevonia.... I am in Western N. Carolina and have a rep named April ( Armstrong, I believe).  She is a licensed esthetician ( not all reps are.... my last one with Dermalogica wasn't ) and is very knowledgeable  ( I call her somewhat often for her input) and just a real sweetheart to talk with!     Sorry, I have no picture .... I just signed up and saw your blog....  it sounds just like where I was coming from a few years ago before I changed and wanted to let you know what I did.

Thank you. I am still going to use dermalogica. My room is in the back of a beauty supply I work for and they  sell dermalogica so I have to use it. I dont mind it and I think you can get some result from it at least with the acne line but I want a line that is more natural because people in my town are huge on organic , and I also like more natural products. I will for sure check out that line though.

So is Pevonia pretty easy to work with and have you had good results with it?
