I've only worked in a spa/salon setting thus far, but I was recently offered a job with a local physician's office. Does anyone have any advice as far as negotiating salary/commission? I've only had experience with paying booth rent at past jobs so I'm not really sure how this works. Thanks in advance!

Any help guys?? I have an interview tomorrow. Thanks!!
I have not worked in this setting but here's what I've heard:
Basically, in a medical setting, doctors and office managers don't want to have to chase you around making sure you know what you're doing. You are an additional revenue stream for them, so as little time and energy as they have to invest in you, the better. Since you've been a booth renter, this might be a great fit considering you probably have a bit more experience than the average esthy with maintaining your supplies, etc.
Good luck!
Here is what I found on Barbercosmo for California:
7. Can a cosmetologist, esthetician, or manicurist work in a doctor's office? What types of services can they provide?
Only if the doctor's office has an establishment license issued from the Board. And they may only perform services within their scope of practice. They may not penetrate the skin or perform any services that would affect living tissue. Please refer to the Medical Board for additional restrictions.
