Hello! I have had a difficult time finding the perfect music for my treatment room! I am currently using Pandora as they have a Spa Suite station that is pretty good, but you never know what you are going to get with Pandora and sometimes during a treatment I have to get up and change the station :-( I have also purchased a couple "spa" albums on itunes, but wasn't that impressed. So, does anyone have any music or albums or stations they love? Thanks so much!

hi...i get all my music from target!!! my clients love it!!!
Hi Raquel! Thanks! Is there any album in particular that is your favorite?

Hi Tara,

I love the spa cds offered through Universal companies, my clients love them as well. I just keep it on loop. I haven't heard one that I didn't enjoy. The website is www.universalcompanies.com I personally prefer the ones that are set to classical music with nature sounds. I also like the cds offered at Target but I save a lot of money by ordering them from universal.

Bed Bath and Beyond has a good selection of cd's to choose from. I really enjoy that you can preview a few songs first :)
When I go to a spa, I like it best when the music is a recognizable classical piece, for example Mozart or Bach. Classical guitar, strings, or woodwind instrumental CDs are really nice too. Any baroque music is good. I find most New Age music to be very bland and forgettable because so much of it is based on tone rather than melody, and I really prefer something with an identifiable melody. It doesn't actively annoy me or anything, but it's just a real bonus when I get a treatment if the music turns out to be anything other than generic ocean sounds with random bird noises, gongs and whales. :)
Check out Liquid Mind CD's....I have Balance and Slow World...simply go to itunes and get a nice sampling of each...I never tire hearing these...and my clients find deep relaxation in them....they are not recognizable tunes so the mind does not join in humming them....then the client's mind is allowed rest, relax and clear.....and that is one of my goals in my clinic....P.S.  I loathe the sound of squawking birds and/or dripping water....it makes me feel like I need to use the restroom!!!
Go to Universal, they have some good selections. I just load them on my ipod when I get the CD, and hit shuffle. I think I bought their best sellers, and really like them.
