Hi Tara! I have used olive oil and love it, however it goes rancid really fast, in fact the olive oil you buy at the stores are already rancid, your best is to find a local olive farm be sure it is organic or chemical free (sometimes better) if you don't have one, the one I know for sure is the olive mill in AZ you can order it on line. The other issue I had was with my towels and sheet, be sure to wash asap or the smell is rancid smelling and hard to get out, FYI !
Of course I always use my Essential oils with it like rosewood, lavender, gentle baby, ylang ylang, geranium, myrrh, sandalwood and many more, Be sure you only use pure essential oils as adulterated essential oils can cause more harm than good, the oils bought at the store are controlled by the cosmetic company's not medical, Big difference to be called a pure essential oil it only has to have 5% of pure essential oils in it *~*
