New Esto in WA

Hello Everyone!

I'm a newly Licensed Esthetician (jan.2012) and wanting to branch out - network & learn more. I currently live in Tacoma, WA and have been searching for any seminars, demos, conventions, random little classes, etc that could help further my education and abilities. I know of taking the step into Medical Esthetics but as of right now I don't think that will fit into my schedule. I'm open to all suggestions and everything! LOL

Where did you go to school? I graduated from the Euro Institute in Renton and they offer continuing ed classes. I've taken a few of them since graduating and they are pretty good.

I've also watched a lot of videos on YouTube that were surprisingly helpful.

Some skincare lines offer classes and webinars. The ones I've actually watched were from Bioelements, Visual Changes, and some of the webinars on the ASCP member site.

Sheila, if you're not a member of ASCP, you can get webinar invitations by emailing Kirsten at getconnected@ascpskincare.com and just say you want to be added to the list for webinar notifications. We have at least 1-2 free webinars every month and send emails to let people know the time/date/topic of upcoming ones. You wouldn't be able to download all the previous ones in the archive unless you're a member, but the live ones are open to everybody. The next ones we have coming up are Creating a Successful Skin Care Practice on April 9 and Truths & Myths of Skin Care on April 16.

ah thank you, I signed up the first one since I know for sure I'll be able to be there for it, do I need a microphone though? not sure if my lap top has one built in eek.

Nope, no microphone needed. If you can use the Internet and hear sound on your computer then you have everything you need. You will be able to type questions for the presenter if you have any.
