All Algae extracts comedogenic?

Hi all!

To clear up some of my confusion, what are your thoughts on algae extract and comedogenecy?

Are all algae extracts problematic? Or just in certain formulations? Or just red algae?

I don't use ANY algae, seeweed, kelp, etc. on acne. Most of them cause problems, so it's not worth extra drama.

Why are algae extracts a problem for acne? I did not know this.

They are iodides and some are comedogenic.
