I recently brought in PCA skincare to my treatment room, do you think this line is successful in treating all stages of acne? Also, please tell me about the use of ice after cleansing (use for only specific acne stages?)
Thank you so much, the information available in the forum has been invaluable,
hm, maybe some people have a lot of luck with PCA's retail for acne - I myself find the line way too limiting. I used to use their Sensi and Ultra Peel for acne treatments but not their homecare.
Ice - use it on inflamed acne after cleansing. I give my clients their own dixie cups that they can fill up with water, freeze and use on their face. It's amazing for inflammation.
I am a huge fan of PCA Skin for treating acne. Laura is right about the Sensi Peel as it treats inflammation, and does a great job at it. Different symptoms and skin types need different peels from the line, but I highly recommend Sensi, Esthetique and PCA, PCA (HQ) and PCA (HQ&R) and Oxygen Trio for treating acne clients.
Jessner's is a little too spicy for some acneic skin. I'd rather have the homecare be more aggressive than the treatment. I use a mild TCA/Mandelic combo to treat my clients.
btw, success in treating acne is 95% in what/how they do their homecare. What products are you giving them to take home?
