Hi everyone. Quick question. Does anyone have any suggestions about learning all there is to know about acne? I'm wanting to focus on acne and hyperpigmentation issues and I'm wondering what sort of resources are out there. Books, magazines, etc. Thanks in advance.

my website is a good start - tons of free information.  All I do is acne so I could talk about it all day long.  My blog is also chock full of info.

Also, Dr. Fulton's book, Acne Rx is a wonderful resource.

Hope this helps.

Thank you, I actually came across your page and book marked it before I knew it was yours. Thank you.

Kelly,

There is an ASCP webinar by Dr. James Fulton on the ASCP website.  Log in, then choose link on left of page "Webinars."  There will be a list of webinars.  Choose Dr. Fulton's for acne.  Full of great information.

For my acne clients, I use Nutrient Skin Care's Nutrifoliant Nutrient Exfoliation Powder.  There is an acne formula with charcoal and salicylic acid.  I will send product for trial if you like.  Nutrifoliant, used daily, has completely cleared the acne of many of my clients.  The key to great skin is daily exfoliation with nutrient penetration.  I follow with RetinOil, a combination of Vitamin A and retinol, which is mixed with an active toner, Nourishe, containing glycolic acid and peptides.  Everything you do to your skin is an opportunity to nourish.

Thank you. I'll check it out.

I would parrot the comments re. both Dr. Fulton's book and webinar. I got a lot of information from the book and then was happy to have ASCP offer the webinar. Being a member of ASCP (liability insurance) has some nice benefits and the free webinars is one.

I also found Simple Skin Beauty by Ellen Marmur, MD educational reading.

Good luck!

Excellent, thank you.

One of the comments in Dr. Fulton's webinar is:  Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate.  I agree completely and the evidence is in my clients' skin.  The only change I would make to his comment is:  nutrifolate, nutrifoliate, nutrifoliate.  Astonishing results when you Feed Your Skin.
