Wow is correct, Laura!  Thank you for sharing this with the rest of us.  Maybe other derms will start listening.  Maybe..........The bad side of this is that the clients who insist on seeing derms will not end up with us if the derms finally get it right.  However, the best outcome for the client is our reason for being in this industry.
Yes, it is a double-edged sword, but I don't think we have anything to worry about in our lifetime!  If they would just stop prescribing antibiotics right and left it would be SO helpful.  Some people have been on those pills for YEARS! Crazy and a travesty!  I found it so strange that the first sentence in that article said that what Dr. Rosen was saying was considered a travesty by doctors.... it's the other way around!
Yes, it's a travesty for the patients.  And you're right, not in our life time.
Wahoo!  Finally a doc with the guts to stand up for what's right.  I don't think we have anything to worry about since the doctors, with or without antibiotics, spend about 5 minutes with the patient, write their Rx, pat them on the head and tell them to come back in 3 months.  We offer hands on treatment, education and the right products to get them under control.  No comparison!
Pamela, you are so right.  Time is money in their world.
