I use Lélexo,  Provitalize l, ll or lll for home care and suggest the 7% or 14% Glycolic Pads. When my clients come in I use Mandelic Acid 32% pad (save it for after the microderm) then Microderm (I have the Altair-Crystalless) then I use the Mandelic Pad again. In AZ we can use lancets.  I know from experience the Provitalize l, ll, lll which contains Vitamin A Proprionate  is the ONLY consistant result from a home product that actually works! Good luck. My clients love it! Their Moisturizer is greaseless with a SPF 30+, Zinc & Titanium Dioxide.

Can you give me any advice for a client that has extreme Milia. She has been to the dermatologist a few years ago and now they are all back and traveling from her forehead down to the cheeks and a few on the chin. I tried to extract a few and they were extremely large and still to far down to make any progress. Do you have a certain tool you use and should she be getting chemical peels or microderm. Also does retinol-a help. Thank everyone, I really want to help her.

Almost ready with first formulation for Acne case study.  Client will receive it next Tuesday, when I will make the exchange from her current anti-aging/smokers formula (the AASF worked very well) which was used for the first six weeks of the study.  Now we go to Phase II where we concentrate on the Acne - Phase II is three months in duration.  Am still tweeking formulation (long process has taken me about 5 weeks to put togather correct formulations).   Everybody cross their fingers.

@Allissa - "Does anybody have suggestions for a water-resistant/water-proof sunscreen for clients with acne?  I love the FR and Vivant sunscreens, but they can't stand up to this Texas heat!"

Solar Rx has a really nice waterproof sunscreen. It's both physical and chemical and has a waterproof test of 8 hours.

@ Carrie. When is Dr. Fulton's webinar scheduled? I'd love to participate if I'm available. Thanks for the info.

@Michelle - Yes, we will have the webinar archived on www.ascpskincare.com in the member area, for those who missed it. I am not sure exactly when it will be added, but check back later this month.

Will there be a way to listen in on Dr. Fulton's webinar after the fact?  I'm working all day & won't have a chance to go "live". Would really like to get the info.

Thanks!

The key to getting any acne under control is using the right products in the right way.  And what are the right products? It depends on what type of acne you have.  With noninflamed acne, I  use vitamin a propionate along with mild bpo; with inflamed acne, I use mandelic acid along with a strong bpo. (all used in a certain way).

I don't think the peel necessarily "brought on" the acne.  If you see a breakout right away from something, it is most likely an allergic reaction (which can look just like acne sometimes), not acne.

That makes sense Laura, do you think that the facial has brought this along? Maybe the peel? What should I be doing for treatments to clear it up or should I be just waiting it out?
