Hello all,I'm always torn how to offer a series of 6 peel treatment.  Do I take half off the 6th one?Have them pay for all 6 and give them the $30. post peel kit? Or just take a random percentage off the total for booking a series?? Being a sole proprietor is great, but I miss collaberating with ideas>

Thanks!

I have my peels priced at $30 and if they pay in full the get one treatment free. Don't know if that's the right way but it's been working for me :)

I do not know what town you live in or what the competition's rates are but $30.00 is extremely cheap for a peel of any kind. At those prices no further discounts are needed. I wish you the best of luck whatever you decide to do.

I price my PCA peels individually at $95 each or a 2-peel package for $175. For glycolic, lactic or salicylic peels I charge $75 each. Body peels range from $100-300 per peel. Even though I have individual peel rates I educate my clients about the importance of a series for best results. When they purchase a package I give them a complimentary trial sized product kit (3 products) that is enough product for at least 2 peels if they use it for 3-5 days post peel. I also offer buy 5 get one free of any peels, facials, back treatments or body peel services that I offer. Because of the way I market my peels my clients purchase packages instead of individual peels which means a better treatment outcome and more income for me. ;0)

As the previous comment suggested, your prices do seem a bit low. I would encourage you to do some research to see what your competition is in your area if you haven't already done so. I live in the Bay Area Silicon Valley northern CA and everything is expensive here. Peels range from $60-$135 depending on the city and type of spa.
I live in a rural town of around 4000 people. I compare my prices to the only other spa offerings around me. I obviously know those prices are not the absolute norm but it is what I have to work with at the moment. I have only had my business up and running for about a year. I usually love this forum but I don't understand some of the judgement that comes with it. I was offering an answer of how I do something to a peer who asked a question. My apologies.

Tara,

I have no idea why you are apologizing and I was in noway judging anyone for anything.  I stated that $30 is extremely low but I also know that if your competitors  charge the same amount or less than you do you cannot charge $65. Most people on this board are just trying to be helpful and want the other esties to be successful. I personally would not make any money at all charging $30. I am an independant contractor so once I take away what it costs me to do a facial (products, 4x4's, towels, sheets, sanitation products etc) and I pay uncle sam almost 40% of what I have left in taxes. If you are happy doing what you do and the money you earn is enough for you then congratulations you are very fortunate. Just remember if you are honest, respectful, knowledgeable and great at your job and truly believe in the services you are providing do not sell yourself short and charge what you are worth.

Tara,

No apologies necessary and no judgment intended.

We're all here to share and learn from each other. That's why I mentioned " if you haven't already done so do some research in your area", I figured that you may have done that.

Sometimes the written word can come across differently than intended. Just trying to help!
