I do believe in "NO Judgement" here. People are free to their opinions, and please do not put down anyone's choice of product. This is a place to share educational information, product knowledge, etc... but let's keep personal opionions to a "friendly level" please. Unsolicited advice is criticism. Thanks everybody!

Hmmm...I remember several years ago Arbonne reps used to "stalk"  esthetic students outside our school!

I think that Gina should research and hopefully use products that are sold by Licensed Estheticians. I think that it will enhance her credibility and client satisfaction.

That was a very thoughtful response Gina. Thank you.

Here are some facts about Arbonne you will find helpful:

  • CEO, Kay Napier was formerly with MacDonald's- she took them from $12 a share to $60 a share in 2 years. She was a VP at P & G for over 20 years. She hired another branding expert from P&G last year for marketing and development, which is why new exposure to Arbonne products is happening and they are beginning to win awards, becoming a product the press are paying attention to, even though they do not currently advertise. According to Kay, recent studies show that only 1% of the people have ever heard of Arbonne and they are about 3 years ahead of the market place in research and development.
  • Product is distributed from manufacturer to consumer without all of the middle men mark up (wholesaler, warehouser, advertiser, retailer,) to the consumer through ICs. If you are going to net more than a couple of thousand dollars per month, you will want to build a team (hopefully with your help in educating-lol) of ICs.
  • Most of their Botanical ingredients are grown on internationally certified eco friendly organic farms in Switzerland, in richer soils using fresh alpine water. The climates are harsher in that country so the plants are stronger making the extracts more potent.
  • The ingredients are delivered through vitasphere technology ( not nanosphere as some consultants believe). A million vitaspheres will fit on a pin head. They learned nano spheres were too small so they changed the delivery method. The head biologist at the corporate office told me this in a training at the corp office.  This insures that the ingredients are delivered in the right amount to the right place at the right time.
  • They were the first to use, and be licensed in the USA, fresh cell technology which leaves the nutritive sack of each cell of several key ingredients intact releasing the ingredient fresh to the skin upon delivery. This actually pauses aging- that is the FC5 line.
  • The vitamin C is very stable making it more effective.

There is more, but I have to run..... Good luck. What I can tell you is that from my own experience and the experience of those I personally know well is that you can grow beyond what you ever dreamed with the people associated with this company if you see beyond the average person.

Thank you Jami!! I am still investigating. I listen to input but I try to use my own brain as much as possible (ha!)- so I've not been completely discouraged on here, and I really respect the chiropractor whom I will be renting space from, and she has chosen to team up with them... so it is probably very advantageous of me to do so b/c I will be the "skin expert"- and they do have some wonderful products, and great representation/leadership.  It is VERY interesting that the person who changed Aveda's outlook has chosen Arbonne. I like that. Also, isn't the former CEO or something of P&G now with Arbonne for marketing and development?  So it's definitely being viewed by professionals in the skin care industry as an extremely respectable line.

I do like that, even though "anyone can sell it"- WALMART cannot!! how many "professional" lines of hair care products are we now seeing lining the shelves of the big box stores?! OPI is now in Target. What's next?? So at least you can still maintain client loyalty even if it's not "professional".

As for your professional treatment products, do you only use PCA skin or do you have another line to complement it? I am considering Skin Scripts as well, to round out my facials, as they have some wonderful sounding enzyme masks, etc. and I am liking the look of their acne care.

Hoping you all will take another step beyond the veil of misunderstanding and ignorance (lack of knowledge) about Arbonne. I am writing this on behalf of all of my other fellow and future consultants.  It feels like a personal blow to hear that one would not be considered a professional to represent Arbonne. As a professional, it is not the only product I use in my office, but it is the most often recommended home care line for several reasons.

One of the top 3 Endocrinologists in this country is a Regional Vice President with Arbonne. We took a class together, she has spoken on several occasions to promote education about this company and their products.

Dr. Pierre Bottiglieri ( sp?) sat on the International Board of Cosmetic Chemistry for 2 years. Dr. Peter Matravers' formulas moved Aveda from $50M to $700M during his tenure there with his hands tied to a degree there, and now has been given carte blanche for research and development.

Arbonne was a $10M company in 2000 and ended 2010 just short of $450M annual sales, headed to $1B by end of 2012. I WANT a team of commissioned, non employee sales force representing a product line for me in 4 countries. Only 4 for now, but more on the way.  I just want them to have more knowledge than the avg person AND a place to take them to get it. Many of you have been introduced to the line by stay at home moms or other women who believe they can better their lives with Arbonne, and they can. It may not have been the impression you expected or even the information you needed, but just because they may not know what you know, doesn't mean that they represent an inferior product.

With this as a part of my business, it isn't all about me. It is about helping others reach their potential. If you believe in the law of "you reap what you sow", then how can you ever give enough? There is no competition out there, only abundance even in this economy. I have 10 teams in my city alone who are bringing me business because I support theirs as well. That doesn't include the others across the country who can't refer people to my aesthetic business.

Together we are changing the way people feel and look.  I am seeing so much good from my Arbonne business, way beyond the product, which is an amazing home care line that resells itself, btw. Business tip.

One of my mentors, from Tulsa, OK., is a multimillionaire investor. He said to me that while positioning myself for True Abundance, if I am not willing to look foolish, then I am foolish. I have been blessed beyond what I deserve financially, in my relationships, and business and I am so grateful that Arbonne has been a huge part of that.

I have absolutely zero to gain financially from encouraging Gina to investigate the line. She already has a doctor who sees the value in the whole picture of Arbonne. Product is really great and the business is even better! Go for it Gina, but if you think you will make lots of money (6 figures) just selling product, then you need to choose another line. You can't possibly talk to that many people all by yourself.

Hi Deirdre! thanks!!! do you have a website? I am working on building/tweeking mine before putting it out there, and love to see what others are doing and incorporating parts into mine.

I definitely want to keep things simple as I get started- and easy. PCA and Bioelements both have a pretty good system in place that I basically just need to follow, and as I get more comfortable I can begin changing it  up.  What line did you choose?

Oh I love all the chit chat :) and learning along the way. @ Gina - I haven't been in business very long either. I will tell you the way I did it and it really helped me! I decided what my focal point would be for my practice... then I found a product line that "I loved" and I went to the training for it. It is a small line (simple and not overwhelming) and because I love it; I can sell it from the heart. You will draw the clients that are right for you when you're working with something you love. It also happened that the line was carried at the local beauty supply. I didn't have a minimum order, and when clients wanted prodcut, I would place an order and pick it up for them and deliver it or offer them to pick it up. It is one way to avoid wasting $ when you don't know what will sell right away. I do not retail make up but know that mineral is the way to go. Iredele, Glo and Young Blood are the popular ones out here near Seattle. Just get what "you need" to work with first. See what your clients are interested in and buy as you go. I promise you will not be disappointed. People are more understanding, especially when they see you're new and living out your dream! Good luck!!

@Gina - we custom-blend mineral makeup for our clients.  It really makes them feel special to have their very own "recipe" and they can't get it anywhere else.  We buy in bulk from Minerologie - we and our clients love it and it doesn't cost all that much to get started.

Gina, Diane is right on.  Yes, you can get professional products on the net but you take the risk.  Also, I have been told by my distributor that if it is a physician's office selling them which they do there is nothing to be done.  It is a side line business for them and they make a lot of money and they purchase in quantitites so they can do this.  It really comes down to building your loyalty and trust.  None of my clients, that I know of, go on line.  They purchase it directly from me.

Thanks, Dianne. Could you provide a link to their site? I am doing some searching and everything I am finding allows on-line ordering by random customers, so I'm not sure if I'm finding the right product.... I definitely want something that "forces" client loyalty to me.

That's a good point about the expired product risk!
