@ Christina -  This is a great question and a fun topic.  I think you would get a better response to post it as a "discussion" above, rather than a comment.  (It will also be much easier to track your responses.)

Hello! I am very new tho the skin care business. I currently work at a spa but at the age of 36 I have hopes of owning my own business. I want to start my own mobile spa. Has anyone out there done this or have any suggestions? I'm all ears;-)

Hey everyone - just a reminder, if you're asking a question or needing feedback on what you're writing here, click on "Add a Discussion" (above) so you post it as a forum discussion, NOT here on the Comment Wall! Using the comment wall makes it much harder to see if anyone has replied to your question.

My esthetics studio is squeezed into a chiropractor's office- it is a teeny-tiny (I like "cozy" haha) room- actually HALF a room that is partitioned off with a floor to ceiling curtain.  Because I am sharing this space with the chiropractor as her secondary treatment room, I have allotted "opposite hours" as my appointment times.  We are a "by appointment only" establishment mainly because of the way we are set up- no full time receptionist that we all share.

The chiropractor works early hours and doesn't come in a couple days a week, so I was able to set my hours up as W 10-3/TH 1-7/F 10-3/Sat 1-5.

I guess my question is this- should I be AT my place of business DURING my business hours?? or just go in when I have appointments or get a call?

Right now my business is VERY slow (just starting out- 2nd month in business) so I could find myself twiddling my thumbs for 5 hours...

How would you work this situation??

Thanks!!
