Hi All:
I am interested in a spa internship in NYC. I am currently enrolled in a full-time Esthetics Program. See my resume attached. Vidya Verasami - Esthetic Student.pdf
I'm interested in product recommendations for ADULT ACNE? Proactiv is the number one product I hear about and see and it is marketed to Acneic clients not an age group. I use Pevonia at work, but their acne line is marketed towards teens. We use this line on adults as well.
What types of ingredient differences are there in professional teen lines vs lines marketed towards adults or are they same?
I am a new grad who will be looking for part time work. My schedule is limited now though because I still have a child in half-day preschool. So until she is in school for a full day, I am working on building my portfolio, continuing education, and networking. If I can find a part time job somewhere that fits in with my schedule that would be great, but I'm not expecting it to happen right away.
I have a background in publishing, so I figured I would start a blog on skin care and wellness to get exposure for myself with the hope of being more marketable when it is time to go back to work full time. The blog is still very new, but it is doing well in terms of traffic. I'd love more comments though, but I suppose it is still early.
I also started writing for Blogcritics.org. I can republish some of what I write there on my blog, but I can write about other topics as well. They link to my blog, and I have had a big increase in traffic since my first article with them was published.
I feel that since I am a bit in limbo right now, all I can do is draw on all of my past experience, combine it with my knowledge and passion for skin care and wellness, and hope people read and share what I write. Hopefully, this will all lead to other opportunities in the field of aesthetics.
