As an esthi, I'm trying to find my niche, which I believe is acne.

Currently, I am thinking about using SS for my acne clients. Is there a good facial with SS or products you use that have really brought great results with an acne client? I have been using Image Skincare and am getting very angry about their lack of customer serivce (and thinking of using a whole other skincare line because of it). I'd really like some help, tips, advice. Thanks!

I use SS soley in my practice and have never had a line work so well with Acne Clients from Fitzpatrick 1-6 and everything in between ( works especially well on dark skin tones)
The Cranberry Turn Over Peel is Amazing on the lighter skin clients. I have had great results on inflamed pustule acne after just one treatment with the Cranberry Peel (20% Salicylic Acid) and 20minutes under LED light. The nice thing is the line really sells itself. I send all of my facial clients home with a sample pack of skinscript skin care custom to the issues they have, tell them how to use it and after the 2nd -3 rd day of using it at home they are generally texting to order full sizes. I have my facials priced to include the samples.
I have never Loved a line of skin care like I do skin script! The price point is excellent, it's user friendly for both the esty and client, it's customizable during treatments so your clients will always see results! Also love that they drop ship directly to clients so I don't have to stock retail (just samples) and no minimums! I could seriously work for this company that's how much I love and believe in it!!!

Hi Amber,

Thanks for replying. I have a few of the enzyme masques, and each time I have used them, the client has complained of it burning or their face is really red. So I've had to take it off (both lemon zest and the coconut papaya). So I'm still on the fence about switching.

As far as acne goes, I do not have an LED light, so I'm looking to see what protocol to use for an acne client (without giving her/him a peel). So starting with the basic cleanser, etc. But what masques and other products I should use during the actual facial to see results. And do you have any "must have" items from SS on your list that you could share with me? I've been using Image since I started, and I feel there are certain holes to the product line, and their customer service is HORRIBLE - one of the biggest reasons I am thinking of switching over. Thanks!

Skinscript did an educational webinar recently on treating acne. They included different protocols for different types of acne. I'm sure they can send you the slide deck if you contact them.
My daughter has acne and she likes the blueberry enzyme and cranberry peel, with their strawberry/spearmint mask. I get hormonal acne and use the glycolic cleanser and retinal scrub a couple of times a week with excellent results. Like your client, I have a tendency to turn red with enzymes so I use them for spot treatments once a week. I did goof once with my choice of an enzyme and had the redness, burning, etc., BUT after taking a few days to clear up my skin looked amazing.

Awesome, Kate! That gives me some hope that there is something out there! I should contact them about the protocol (I've ordered from them before too). I'm reading a lot of good things about the glycolic cleanser. I have the retinol scrub but didn't feel it really did anything to my skin to clear things up (I don't have acne but here and there breakouts and always milia). Do you have any protocols that you can send me?

Actually, I just found the slide deck from the acne class. I'm attaching it for you. SS has a training manual with protocols that I believe is free with a $100 order. It's got a lot of great info on all their products.

You may also want to check out Face Reality for acne products/training. There's an Acne Specialist Group on here.

Thank you Kate! I'm already seeing some great information from the deck - thanks so much for sending that to me. HUGE help! I did get the training manual with my last order, but I don't think that the deck you sent me is included.

Hi All:  Wow, look at all this great feedback!  Dave and I have been in our two-day "skin-tensive" training so I apologize for an untimely response.  The ideal situation would be to attend a hands-on training on October 21 from 11-2:30 in the Tempe, AZ office.  I don't know what state you are in, so if that's not possible, our next webinars on product knowledge are October 24 (9 am for Retail products and 10 am for professional products).  At these trainings, we will walk through each and every product on how to use it.

For the meantime, some of the key products have already been listed in everyone's feedback (what great spokespeople we have here).  Here's my thoughts on my favorites:

1)  Glycolic Cleanser used 2-3 times per week for mature skin (with or without acne)

2)  Retinol Scrub used 2-3 times per week for mature skin (with or without acne)

3)  Cucumber Toner to restore hydration after exfoliation

4)  Ageless Skin Hydrating Serum to restore hydration after exfoliation

5)  Ageless Skin Moisturizer or Light Aloe Moisturizer

6) Professional treatments would be the Pomegranate Enzyme (hot), Cranberry Turnover Peel (hot), Blueberry Enzyme with retinol scrub (mild).

There are a lot of other treatments / products I recommend, but that would entail a full training.  Always feel free to call me at 480-543-1121 or e-mail me directly at lisa@skinscriptrx.com if you want personalized attention.  Thank you for considering Skin Script for your line!

Thanks! Lisa

Thank you for all of that information, Lisa!

Unfortunately, I am unavailable for those trainings (and I am in WI) but I know to look at the website with future trainings listed. I really appreciate you taking time out to write me about this. I am really looking into switching over entirely to SS products.

Hi Sara - One more option - if you'd like a one-on-one webinar training, please let me know a date and time that works for you and I could set that up.

Thanks, Lisa. That is awesome. Superb customer service, in fact. Thank you for offering that option. I try to take off each Tuesday, so I'm usually available during the day every Tuesday.

Hi Sara - between training and trade shows, the next Tuesday I have available is November 6, November 13 or November 20.  Do any of those work, or do you have another date in mind?

Hi Lisa,

November 13th works well. I'll give you my email address: sarabear1238@yahoo.com

Thanks again!
