For clients who have never had a brazilian before, I usually schedule 45 minutes of time. Because I like to consider my clients' pain threshold and take smaller sections so they are not in agony. If the client just had a brazilian last month, I schedule 30 minutes of time. Less hair per square inch=less pain & less stress on the skin. I find that my clients who have had this service elsewhere really appreciate my method. ;-)
I have been doing this for 7 years and it works for my clients as well. I find going too fast and too large strips is harder the first time. That is how it was the 1st time I had a Brazilian and I never went back to that esty. It was a horrible experience for me, way too fast and strips too large. After that, I started to do it myself and I think that really helped me with my technique.
I am quick and very efficient but I do not rush (this is not a race to be the fastest) and I will help calm the client if they are nervous or skittish. Because I do so many and because I have been doing them for so long the time just naturally quickens with the right technique and has become 2nd nature. In the end your client wants it done right, as painless as possible (proper technique) but the sooner its over the better!! Clients want a long lingering massage or facial, not a long lingering wax!
