I have a new client who needs a full face wax and wants a facial, should these appointments be scheduled on different days to reduce possibility of irritation? If so, how much time in between treatments?

Are you doing anything to exfoliate in the facial? You could wait and do it after the facial.
Hello Erica! You absolutely can wax and do a facial back to back on the same day w no irritation. I do it all the time. I have lots of clients that come see me religiously once a month for their waxing and facial. I actually always do their facial waxing before their facial, never after. Unless, in the rare case they decide they want their brows done etc after the facial then ok. It does depend on what type/brand of products you are using however. For example if you are using a calming, soothing line such as Bioelements the facial will actually calm down the skin and there will be no redness from waxing by the time you are done with the facial. If you are using a line that does cause a lot of stinging burning sensation to the skin throughout the facial such as Eminence, for example, then yes you may actually irritate the skin and this could lead to bad results. The key is to know your products and know what type of reaction they (most likely) will produce on the skin. I believe that providing services on the same day and saving the client time and the headache of making a separate trip if not necessary is very important!
I have seen bad things happen from combining the two. waxing after the facial can tear the skin. Or facial after waxing the product can burn or cause swelling. I know there is someone saying its ok on here but just use precautions and trust your judgement, Better safe than sorry.  Good luck :)

I did a facial last week and we only waxed the brows. She is coming back the following week to wax the face. She was fine with that.

Since it was also her first time with me it really helps be establish a professtional relationship with her.

I didn't want to cause the skin any irritation. I did clean up her brow thought and that was fine.
