Well, I am thinking I am giving quite a good deal :)
This is great to get comments re. how estheticians are handling bikini waxing because people's desires vary so much in how much hair they want removed. And really, these days, I think people tend to want more than the traditional bikini line. I can think of only one client who asks for a bikini wax like you described, Crickett. I am more sure than ever that this is a good time for the salon/spa where I work to look into our waxings and clarify.
Hey Sally, Yes you are correct. My bikini line is 2-3" outside the natural thigh crease toward the upper thigh and includes nothing crossing that line on the other side (top or toward anus. It's basically the from the top of the top where the crease meets the hip bone area down to the start of the buttocks. Does that make sense? You could always do a bikini range as well that could be $25-$35. The closer in you go toward the center of the body, the more you should be charging. Does that work?
Thanks Crickett. If I read you right you are meaning that your bikini wax follows the thigh crease where you wax 2-3" outward toward the leg (on the outside of that thigh crease). The natural thigh crease moves out toward the hip and up toward the waist in a diagonal - nothing cleaned up inside even as you move to the top of the diagonal?
If you start at the thigh crease sort of where the tendon is I am thinking anything below that (more between the legs and toward the anus) would not be part of your bikini wax. Does that sound right?
How far down on the top do you clean up?
Thanks!
Hi ladies, I have a price range for Brazilian from $55 - $65 which includes anything outside of the natural bikini line, which for me is 2-3" outside the thigh crease. It's very important to know what you definition of bikini and Brazilian are and what your clients definition is. Just saying "modified brazilian" on your menu probably doesn't mean much without the definition. to me it's easier to just have a direct price range, so that the client knows what the cap is on pricing. Also, when someone calls and books a bikini, you want to ask what that means to them so that you know how much time to book out and how much to charge. Having to many options on the menu only works to confuse clients. Keeping it simple is best.
Angel, thank you for sharing how you handle this!
I love your direct answer!!
Is it listed on your menu as a "modified bikini" and may I ask when and how you explain to clients when the bikini wax becomes a "modified bikini"? I can pretty much figure when it becomes a Brazilian (labia hair removed).
