First off let me tell you I love Tampa, it is a great place to live. But there are challenges in our industry because the recession really hit the area. You know if you lose your job or if your hours were cut the first thing you eliminate is your facial. In the middle of this the place I worked at for 5 years went out of business so with a friend, who is a massage therapist, I started my own business. I am into my second year, business is getting a little better but without my husband's income I would have to take a second job. From what I saw when I was looking, most places want you to rent a room, bring your own equipment, buy your own supplies. There are some places that hire, but I wasn't really into that from previous experience. The most contact I have with other estheticians is through these web site. When you come down, feel free to get in touch. I hope this helped.
