I am going to training for Lavish Lash and wanted to know how long after the training did it take you to get up to speed where you felt comfortable doing services? Also what was the training like, did you feel confident after? Any tips? Thanks Judi

Thanks so much for your response, I really appreciate it.  I just went to another dermatologist this morning which was a waste of time, except that I did get some samples and prescription for Retin-A and I can also get one for Tazorac if I'd like.  I'm not opposed to trying the retinoids, but from what I've read and what derms have said, they don't really help.  You can't really get rid of SH bumps permanently, but if I can keep them as small/flat as possible, that would be my goal.   I went to the Dermaquest site to look at their products and I saw the Modified Jessner's and TCA peels.   I noticed two TCA peels--one if the 30% and the other is 7% and 3% salicylic.  I was thinking I might order the Modified Jessner's and possibly one of  the TCA's.  Which one of the TCA's are you using?  Do you think maybe I should try the Modified Jessner's first and see how it does and then try one of TCAs?   Or do you think rotating them might be better?  I would only spot treat on the bumps themselves and would not use the peels all over my face.  How long should you leave it on for?   Thanks so much for your insights.

Hello, I saw your post about using a modified Jessner's peel on the owner of your spa to treat her sebaceous hyperplasia, and I was wondering how I could create the same solution and use it on myself since I have SH myself and one bump in particular is really bothering me.  Would it be suitable to try it as a spot treatment?   You mentioned that you had seen a decrease in the diameter and thickness of her SH and I'm wondering how the treatment is progressing.  Any information you could provide would be very helpful.  I've read everything out there about SH and I'm not comfortable to try any of the destruction methods used by dermatologists because of concerns of potential scarring or hypo/hyperpigmentation.  I might start using a retinoid, but I've read that it doesn't usually help with existing bumps.  The treatment that I feel might work is something such as the Skin Classic machine mentioned here in the blog or another similar machine, but I still have to get my nerve up to try that as well.  There is a great video on YouTube which shows SH being treated with the Skin Classic machine.

Thanks again.
