In the field of cosmetology, we as beauty professionals are the direct line to our clients beauty goals. They may shop on their own, but they typically need our professional advice and services to reach that goal. We have to always be "one up" on them. Shows like Dr. Oz and beauty control informercials have started the health and beauty craze once again. People are becoming more inquisitive to beauty products and services than ever before and have many questions that we need to be educated to answer. We must be polished on what the buzz is in the market as well as being polished in our appearance. Our clients see us as hip, educated professionals when we can answer their questions, and look good while doing it. Most importantly your skin room and work station should always be polished when a quest visits. There is nothing worse than turning the lights up -and dust, spray tan residue or dirty mirrors are the first impression. We must remember infection control! Just be POLISHED!!
