@Lisa - I have a wholesale line of acne products that carries those.  To become a wholesale client, you need to get my training DVD.

Proven Strategies for Treating Acne.

Question for Laura: where do you find good serums such as the mandelic and retinyl propionate and bpo's that have increasing percentages. I am trying to expand my acne line so I have more options to work with, I am just not sure where to look. Thanks, Lisa

The almond/mineral treatment layered with hungarian herbal mud over the top by Eminence Organics is a great natural way to get those blackheads out...

Good description Cheryl! The only thing I would add is that there is more than 15% mandelic.  In my line I have four strengths of it - 8% (higher pH), 8% (lower pH), 15% (higher pH) and 15% (lower pH). It is also an antifungal so it's great for folliculitis (which often accompanies acne).

Mandelic is a mild AHA with some BHA properties. As well as being antibacterial,anti-inflammatory and lipid permeable (thus the pore exfoliater) it is a gentle 15% AHA at a low PH. AHAs exfoliate the epidermis much better than with salicylic acid, which cannot penetrate very deeply into the epidermal layers. So the skin is smoother , tighter and more even in tone. If anyone else can add anything please do .

Thanks so much for sharing your experience and knowledge with us, Much appreciated Laura. Now even tho I work at an Aveda concept salon/spa and am not sure I can do anything like this there it is knowledge that I so need and want for my own growth as an Esthetitian . So thanks once again :)

Nope, you would need BOTH the salicylic serum and the bpo.  Sal by itself just is not enough to get the job done.  In my experience you probably need a serum that is more active than salicylic.  I use mandelic and then add in a retinyl propionate serum after a time.

Thanks Laura LOL! So would a salicylic acid  Exfoliater work also instead of a bpo I use Aveda products and We have the liquid Exfoliater which has the salicylic acid . But we also have the outer peace line and there are the exfoliater pads with the salicylic too Just wondering what the differance would be . Thanks
