Recently we participated in an interesting conversation about mobile spas. Everything is going mobile so why not spas?
However, there is a lot to consider before opening up your own mobile spa or salon.
State and City Regulations For Mobile Spas
Many states prohibit cosmetologists, estheticians and nail technicians from performing services outside of a licensed place of business. So check the rules with your local laws for mobile spa services and check the spa licensing boards for more information before you invest!
What services are you going to offer?
It really doesn’t matter where your business is, on a main street, in an RV parked in suburbia, or in your clients home/office, you must decide which services you are going to offer. Who is your target market and what services do they need is the question you should be asking yourself.
If you are an esthetician, you will want to include all of your skin care protocols, including a deep cleanse, anti aging treatments, Microdermabrasion, peeling, and various technologically advanced treatments.
You also might want to add more services such as waxing, manicure and pedicures so that you can offer your client a one-stop shop.
