Denims, denims, denims! We all can’t seem to get enough of this fashion staple, and why should we brush it aside from our wardrobes when denims are just about to get hotter this 2017? We’re taking the cue from one of the most influential styling events around the world — no other than New York Fashion Week.
Here are the best denim hacks we’ve seen on the runways and on the streets of one of the A-rated fashion capitals of the world:
Denim Hack No. 1: Torn jeans. Top model and Victoria’s Secret Angel, RomeeStrijd, was spotted wearing her torn, white, calf-length jeans while hanging out on the streets will fellow Angel, Taylor Hill. She played up a casual sexiness by pairing it with a soft, elbow-sleeved polo shirt and a pair of embellished pumps.
Denim Hack No. 2: Patched up denim jacket. Supermodel Gigi Hadid was snapped running in between fashion shows rocking a very 80s, long-sleeved denim jacket with huge, cartoonish patches all over. She put it over a cropped tee which she paired with leather pants, drawstring mules and a medium-sized carry all bag.
Denim Hack No. 3: Very mini denim skirt. Russian model and fashion blogger, Xenia Tchoumi, was spotted what can be said as donning a mix of 30s and 80s outfit. She wore her minis with a collared inner blouse which she topped with a semi-structured long, purple blazer pulled up to the elbows. She was being playful when she paired it with a silver ankle-strapped sandals that had fur details towards the toe side.
Denim Hack No. 4: Denim jacket over a full floral dress. We’ve seen the US Marie Claire Director of the Style and Accessories, Taylor Tomasi Hill, wear the ensemble ever so casually with one side left hanging on one shoulder. We totally dig the look’s total comfort appeal!
Denim Hack No. 5: High-waist, flared pants and lace top ensemble. Top beauty entrepreneur, Lauren Remington Platt was being practical and sexy when she strut down the streets of New York wearing this pairing. She topped it with a white, soft cloth jacket resting on top of both shoulders.
Denim Hack No. 6: Hot pants paired with butterfly sleeved top. Well-known stylist, blogger and illustrator, Jenny Walton, was snapped wearing her hot denim pants with a printed, mostly purple, butterfly sleeved blouse. She kept her soles comfortable with a pair of ankle-strapped flats with pink, printed details.
Denim Hack No. 7: Calf-length, button down denim pencil cut skirt. It’s just like any pair of denim pants. It will look great on any topper. Since it is pencil cut, it beautifully hugs a woman’s body and will make anybody curvaceously attractive and feminine.
Denim Hack No. 8: Below the knee A-line skirt with buckle and denim belt detail. This ensemble was a gorgeous attraction on the Macy’s runway. The looks were completely utilitarian as the skirt was paired with a striped, navy blue and white basic top and a pair of comfy wedge sandals.
Denim Hack No. 9: Black skinnies, basic tees and black leather jackets. No less than Ashley Benson from “Pretty Little Liars” was quoted, as saying, “I'm more comfortable in darker colors and leather jackets”, so do most of us. That wasn’t hard to spot at during fashion week! Several models were wearing high-waisted, teared, black skinnies with plain tops, black leather jackets and black boots. In fact, anybody, yes including you, will look like a top rated runway model when she puts on all of these together.
Denim Hack No. 10: High-waisted, broad-hemmed denim pants. These were a sight to see on the Cinq A Sept runway. It’s one of the denim hacks that we remember, besties, Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner have made a twinning of earlier in 2016, and it’s a look that will stay on in 2017. The key is to look for a well-tailored pair with clean sew lines that hugs you on the waist and hips and eases to broaden at the ankles. Wear with basic tops and you should get your fashion statement right all the time.
Conclusion
“Jeans represent democracy in fashion,” said top fashion designer, Giorgio Armani. So, go ahead and find the best denim style that suits you because, frankly, when it comes to denims, there are no rules and no boundaries.
