Hi Everyone!  I was curious if anyone could give me their feedback and/or experience with the Oxiana System.  http://www.oxianausa.com/  I have been interested in the oxygen facials and would like to know if there are favorite machines.  Thank you!

Hi Stacey...I haven't heard of this unit but definitely look into offering oxygen treatments! It is one of the most asked for treatments at my Center. I have an oxygen machine in both of my treatment rooms!

Hi!  Thank you for your response.  :)

What system do you use?  Have you heard of any good quality systems?

I've got two RejuvenAirO2 machines. I have both their original unit (which looks and works just like the Intraceuticals machine, except way less expensive!) and their new Elite unit, which is smaller, quieter and more portable. Check them out: http://www.shelleyhancock.com/rejuvenairo2.html

I am curious about how you explain the benefits of oxygen to the clients, and I will admit, somewhat skeptical about the treatment.  Oxygen kills us!  It produces free radicals!  Shelley, maybe you can help me understand why this would be a good thing?

I understand your concern! Here's a good explanation at the bottom of this page:

I think that as with anything, over using something is not such a good thing but in moderation it can be helpful. An oxygen treatment once a month surely can't be harmful.

Thanks!  I'm very curious about the results, and I agree that infrequent treatment would be unlikely to harm (especially if it is improving the health of the skin).  I am still curious whether the actual oxygen is doing much, or if it is just a good delivery system for the treatment products?  How would the skin do if you sprayed just the oxygen, for example?

Many many years ago an esty gave me an oxygen treatment where she sprayed air on my face for 30 minutes...I laid there thinking "Please Lord let this be over". She was so excited to have me experience this treatment. It was annoying and I got absolutely no results. Because of that treatment I never took a second glance at oxygen machines for another 15 years!! Christine, I think you hit the nail on the head about it being a great delivery system for product.

Shelley's example just goes to show that good education (on products and equipment) makes or breaks any service!

I have seen people write bad reviews on both product and equipment where I could tell that they were not using it appropriately - or in the case of a product, did not allow sufficient time to obtain results.

(LOL @ 30 mins of air!)
