Hello, i am new to this product line and wanted to know if anyone has advice for clients with rosacea. I have a few clients who react nagatively to witch hazel. I noticed the products for sensitive skin contain this ingredient. Not sure which products to use and recomend. Thanks!
Kendra, Are you speaking of the toner? Skin Script's has a great line for Rosacea clients.. However, I understand every client is different and some may be altra sensitive to witch hazel... I follow my rosacea treatments with an ultra sound using Post Procedure Serum made by DermaMedics (can be just applied by hand too)... also use it post laser treatments ... calms the skin beautifully... they sell back bar and home care size....also, you can always do a little patch test on jawline ... remember it is ok to get a lil red while they are on your table... it when they are leaving that you want the skin calmed down...
For rosacea and sensitive skin, I recommend (1) either the green tea cleanser or the pomegranate cleanser, (2) retinol scrub to gently exfoliate twice a week, (3) cucumber toner, (4) ageless skin hydrating serum mixed with the vitamin c/green tea serum, (5) an appropriate weighted moisturizer - maybe acai berry or hydrating moisturizer, and (6) spf.
Regarding witch hazel, yes it is in a lot of our products. Our chemist likes to use it as a solution for dissolving ingredients (it works really well for that) and it generally does not cause irritation, drying, etc. so its the favorite solution for us. For your client that is sensitive to witch hazel (ugh!), I have listed products below that do NOT contain witch hazel and could be recommended for your client.
Pomegranate Cleanser
Ageless Skin Moisturizer
Peptide Restoration Moisturizer
Raspberry Peach Enzyme
Pumpkin Orange Enzyme (this is an aggressive enzyme)
Goji Berry Yogurt Mask
Seaweed Mask
I hope this helps. It's tough when we get clients with lots of sensitivities.
