Can anyone help me out? I am a new esthetican renting a room in a salon. Can you give me ideas as to what I can do to really impress my clients? I'm looking to WOW anyone who comes into my room. I've been doing facials the most, but I feel I need to step it up a notch. I want them to leave feeling like they got the best service ever!

AND they sell to retail beauty outlets like Pure Beauty and Ulta, which even though they do have a treatment room, it is mostly the floor staff (non-skincare professionals) recommending the products.

I like the products and I like their training and I like their business savvy.  But they are everywhere!

Wow really? I bet you more Estheticians would use their line if that weren't the case.

Yes I like it as well and used in school but thu have made it hard to maintain an account.

My opinion is that the #1 thing you can do to impress your client is to be consistent from session to session.  Any changes you make (different exfoliant, different mask, etc.) should have a clear reason based on your skin analysis and be stated to the client.  Things like massage, table warmer, steam, hot towels, etc. should be consistent unless otherwise explained (I see that you're sunburned today so we're going to focus on cooling and hydrating your skin today, which means I won't be using steam or hot towels during this session).  Your client has returned because she liked what she had the first time - don't go changing it up without warning!

Monica...I see you mentioned using the clarisonic in your facial. I've been contemplating this and have one for myself at home and love it. I use mine in the shower so I don't pay attention but is it messy at all? Does it sort of spray a little or anything? You know what I mean?

yes, i know what you mean :-)

no, it doesn't.  but make sure that you cover the client's eyes with your hand (as in protecting from the sun, you know what I mean?) so that just in case it does spray. I wet it wet and turn it on just when I am about to put it over the skin to prevent "splashing".
