Hi!  Can someone recommend an online scheduling system that is easy to get started, user friendly, cost effective etc.   Not sure I want to get a whole salon software in place, although I may, so if you are using a complete system & love it, tell me more & why!  Thank you in advance.  :)

I wanted to add - even though I was just focused on getting a program "to start out with" when I got MindBody, I'm very grateful now to have all 3 years' of business data in there, in one place, so that I can track the success of different marketing ideas, staff members, etc.

I use Rosy Salon Software for my Skin Care Studio, it is $39. a month. It is online so I can book appt. anywhere there is internet. Used it almost 2 years now, and am very happy with it.  My clients appreciate the email  reminder 48 hours in advance from their appt., they often comment on this service. I have a scanner for  my retail product, inventory is tracked, reports are available, credit card scanner and printer all set-up at time of purchase. Very easy and helpful customer service. You can download and check it out for free for first month.

styleseat is perfect for starting out.

This is what I am using...love the auto email appointment reminders.

I started using vagaro and I love it!  My guests can even have an app for their phone.  Only one 'confused' call, but she is 82 so I think that would be with most things digital.  Good Luck

Schedulicity -$19 a month ( first month free) . Has email confirmation, email templates, reports, discounts, can connect to facebook and webpage, create own deals, etc.

Good price , easy to use, great customer service!

Schedulemax is awesome!  www.schedulemax.com

I started using Schedulicity a couple of years ago. $19/month and no technical issues thus far. I use it for online scheduling, email marketing/updates. It automatically sends me an email and a text when a client schedules as well as automatic client email confirmations/reminders 24hours prior to a clients appt.

They don't have an 'App', but their site has a mobile function which works nicely in a cell's web browser. Clients are able to view appointment times and schedule online at their convenience. It also allows me to change lead time, take credit cards(if you want) and schedule myself personal time without the client necessarily knowing if I'm 'there' or not- just that I'm unavailable.

Another vote for SpaBooker.

I've been using it for a while now, and I'm very happy with it. The appointment book and customer profiles make scheduling a breeze. I'd recommend it over other booking software though because it offers tools to set up and manage an online shop with gift cards. Having all of those services in one piece of software is a huge time saver for me.

I've been using Genbook for almost three years. It's not expensive, allows me to list all my menu items and is easy for customers to use.  It sends out booking notifications and reminders which saves me time.  I also have the credit card feature turned on so cancellations don't really happen anymore.  I can work it from my phone in a pinch and it tracks all my revenue and client information.  Sounds like you have a lot of choices, but this on is mine.

I use Vagaro. It's actually an app on smart phones. It's $25/month. It's great- you can connect it to facebook, a website or you can build a website on it. Never had problems with it. You can also set it up where it notifies you by text or email and you can have it where appts have to be approved if you want. It does confirmation emails/texts. There are all kinds of reports you can get off of it too. My clients love it and I love it too- I  have been using it about 1.5 years.
