Yellowbook advertising

I talked to a rep today from yellowbook. For about $45 a month I can get a small ad in the phone book and an online ad at yellowbook.com. Has anyone tried it? Was it worth it? Thanks!

I have a free one online- if you don't have to sign a long contract try it for 2-3 months

Not worth it. Who would ever look in a book, or on a highly specified page like yellowbook.com? Spend the money on CPC ads.

You can have a free listing on any of the online yellow pages..... www.yellowbook.com; www.yp.com; www.superpages.com even angieslist.com etc

all of them are connected to search engines, so enter all the details you can to improve it.

if you buy an ad (enhanced listing), find out how many clicks per month you are going to receive.

For $45 per month, it does not sound like they committing to a number of clicks which is fine. Usually the cost per click turns out to be well over a $1..... which is also too high

BUYER BE WARE- all of these companies have AUTOMATIC RENEWALS in the contract that the sales people seldom disclose!

Thank you all for the advice. I decided not to do it, I read some bad reviews online. I think the money will be better spent elsewhere.

I think it's a waste of money. No one looks in the yellowbook anymore and anyone looking would search Google before yellowbook.com
