Anyone know if we can be licensed in more than one state?

i know you can transfer your license but i dont want to give up my Nevada license to Arizona.  I cant find anything on any of the state board sites that talks about keeping a license in more than one state...only a "transfer". Thanks for any input :)

I never thought this would be an issue.  I'm licensed in PA and want to get licensed in DE as well.  I was going to just see what I needed to do that, I never thought I would have to give up my PA license, which I can't/won't do.  Thanks for posting this, I hope you find your answers (hope we all do), but now I'm going to try to dig into this a little bit.

Please let me know if you find anything. I will call state board on monday and hopefully get some answers. I cant believe there is nothing on any of the websites that clarifies this. Hopefully it doesn't require re-testing. ugh

I have a feeling it will require testing, but not sure about additional education. PA has the lowest # of hours required for licensing (300) and I just hope if I do want to get licensed in a 600 hour state that they would take real world work experience into consideration for additional education.

Someone else was asking recently-look up "Dual License" currently page 8 here. You just may need to take extra classes, test etc. but you should be able to get another if you meet that states requirement.

Yes you can have licenses in multiple states, you just need to meet the requirements, whatever they may be.  There are many people who do seasonal work and go from state to state.

Thanks Crickett !  i finally called state board and they confirmed this...YAY !
