Hello friends, I just started working from home after passing my State Boards in Feb . I created a beautiful room in my basement in Southern California. I've just barely begun. My issue, currently, is product line. I attended a Dermalogica partnership school. I know the line pretty well, use it myself, and attend classes at IDI several times a month. However, they are strict about only having an account with them in a commercial space. I'm working with their Rep, but don't know how it'll pan out. Help! I know nothing about other lines! The learning curve is so steep!!! I want to sell to clients for continuity of treatment, and of course, it's smart business. Help, friends!

Hi Sharon - if your area is zoned residential and you have a separate entrance and completely separate interior restroom facility etc. then I would think you have a case for a commercial standing. Do you have a city or county business license, facility license, and would you be able to meet baseline order levels? The baseline order stocking levels required are perhaps your greatest concern as you begin because you must have enough inventory turnover in all required stock areas for Dermalogica in order to maintain your account. I would explore the other requirements and see if this is a good fit for you. If so, I would send a letter and photos and local zoning permits to the account manager for individual consideration.
Sharon - Sorry I meant zoned for commercial not residential. If you can obtain a business license it most likely is commercial.
There are other great lines out there that don't require minimums. Skin script, tuel, Rococo, jessa skin

Vanessa, I think I need to explore that option, but it saddens me as I became pretty invested in their product line and love their education.

Sandee, thank you for your reply to my post. I see that I need to spent more time on this.
