I am looking to use a new skincare brand professionally and I have worked only with Aveda, Bioelements, and Murad. I love that Aveda is natural. Does anyone have any suggestions as to a which brand they would recommend. It would also be great if the minimum start up cost was affordable, but any suggestions would be helpful. I have also looked at Paula's Choice and Skin By Ann Webb as options.

Hey Autumn, I worked with Aveda for many years and was also an Esthetics trainer for them at the first Institute here in Texas. When going back to the treatment room, I considered many things when choosing my brand. Was it professional, did it have a makeup artist cosmetics line, was it free of harmful chemicals and so on. I chose to use and recommend a brand called Arbonne. It is mostly sold by independent consultants with no skin care experience, but after lots of due diligence, I decided the brand was a fit for my business. I also love that my clients can order their home care products and more online from my website 24/7 and I don't have to stock a ton of inventory which can be very expensive for us! It has made life so much easier rather than having to do it the traditional route. Plus, I get to earn lots of incentives and I am even working on earning the company car, a white Mercedes. If you are interested in learning how it works for my facial business and could yours, shoot me an email, I would love to chat.
Hi Autumn,
This is not the easiest start up line cost-wise but less expensive in the long run in many ways. I've been an aesthetician for 16 years and have trained with and used Jan Marini, Sanitas, La Therapie, Elemis, Eminence, Dermalogica, Phytomer, Sesderma, Physiodermie, Yonka, 2 "your name" lines, Image, Sothys and Intaglio. Since you love that Aveda is natural, this line is quite a step up from that. Please forgive my excessive passion in this response, and no I'm not a rep for Sircuit, but I believe we need to hold skin care to a higher standard which in turn keeps us in alignment with respect for the planet. What I've learned after 16 years of experience and research is that there really and truly is only one line that is covering almost all of the integrity based bullet points. The only thing left that they have to do is get the rest of their products in glass. That line is called Sircuit Cosmeceuticals, the only 100% chirally corrected line that also harvests all ingredients possible by USDA organic and NOP practices which is great for the planet. Working with them now for 1 year has proven it to me. So many of my new clients and long time clients have said it's the best line they've ever used. Here's why:
1. They harvest by USDA organic standards.
2. They chirally correct the organic ingredients in EVERY single case so that every single ingredient is 100% bioavailable to our skin's receptor sites. Not one other line on this side of the world does that AND all this other stuff because of the expense involved.
3. They only use ingredients that our skin has receptor sites for with the exception of vitamin A. In that case they have a patented technology to protect our skin from the unpleasant redness and peeling that you usually see with retinols and retin-a.
4. They are concentrated products so while they are more money up front, they last longer than other product lines when used as directed.
5. They make every order fresh to order.
6. They package all their products with a certain %age of enzymes and acids in glass to avoid as much of a breakdown in plastic properties into the formulas.
7. If you're west coast-ish based, they are based out of Los Angeles so that is way less fuel to get to you so that's just a bonus.
8. Coolest packaging ever. Well at least in my mind and I know that's subjective but it's MY favorite.
9. Very conservative in fragrance, which is all just side effect of the pure ingredients.
10. You make more money in retail sales because of higher price point. (Have had ZERO issues selling this more expensive line because all these bullet points are exactly what people truly want deep down right now so they're willing to pay AKA Sircuit is like the skin care equivalent of True Food and Whole Foods in the food industry only much more pure. More accurately like an all organic, prestigiously trained private chef.)
11. biggest celebrity following among professional lines.
12. Price regulations among all ACCREDITED retailers so other accredited Sircuit businesses cannot undermine your sales through discount promos or specials ever. The only way you'll ever see that is online and those retailers are NOT accredited so Sircuit shuts those people down as fast as they go up. The bonus for you is that you never have to discount your products for promos. My clients have had zero issues with this. They understand happily.
13. You can feel so confident that your clients safety is insured with long term applications of these products.
Note: Sircuit cannot use USDA organic label on products because they do put required ingredients through the chirally correcting process. In my opinion the chirally correcting process is the only way to improve upon an organic ingredient, as not all organic ingredients are 100% safe, even if we have the receptor sites in our skin for them. There is 1 or 2 scientists out there that naysay the importance and validity of chirally correcting but it's because once they admit it, skin care lines everywhere will have to take on the very expensive process of doing it. I doubted it in the beginning and now I see that it is as real as Sircuit says it is. Clients have minimal to no peeling but still get the results and nobody has had any reactions to it because the offensive half of the molecule has been discarded through the chirally correcting process.
Hope that helps!
PS - I also really like Physicians Choice of Arizona. They don't employ all these great things that Sircuit does but their results are really fantastic as well.
Hi Autumn,
GREAT question! That IS THE trick to learn with Sircuit. All you have to do is pump one drop of Lavish oil and one pump of Molecular Mist into any product that you want to bump up into a Colorado-climate-friendly product if you're from Colorado or New Mexico etc. OR if you just have dry skin. Works fantastically! It is true that all their products dry to a light matte finish as a safer base concept product. Meaning, better to start off lighter for those that hate that dewy/shiny/greasy finish and then slowly increase to a customizable level of hydration/moisture. For opening order ideas you can call Sircuit Corporate. 888-661-4544. :) :) Since I'm not a rep I don't think I can make those suggestions as successfully.
Hi Autumn!
Ok so my client favorites for back bar have been the Pedal To The Medal and the Skin Couture Peel. XTrap wash, Molecular Mist for diluting the finishing products, Cranberry Crush Enzyme peel, Birthday Cake scrub which goes with the Skin Couture Peel, Vacation Peel, Cool Lychee WA Mask, Sircuit Weapon serum, White Out Eyes, Lavish oil, & Day Care +. This will take care of oily, combination and dry sensitive. Having some Suggah lip balm to add at the end is always much appreciated by clients. I don't know how you could possibly shorten that list so hopefully its doable. Remember that your back bar is also concentrated so don't be too scared of the pricing.
For retail they love every single last thing. Products I sell the most of though is:
XTrap, Molecular Mist, Sircuit Weapon (vit c serum), Supernatural-A (Iconic-A retinol serum), OMG chlorophyll serum, Addict Firming serum, Dreamweaver night cream, I sell all the eye creams evenly, I sell all the masks evenly, Sir Activ Scrub, tons of Lavish Oil EFA oil, Sircurity Balm (recover and repair) and Suggah Lip balm.
Products clients rave about even though they're super expensive is OMG, Secret Sauce, and I Cee U. Xtrap wash is hugely popular and it's very cheap. $38 but it lasts about 8-9 months because it's so concentrated. People are so pleased with that after seeing that it really does last that long. It's one of the most quality washes I've ever ever used.
In terms of explaining in "laymen terms", don't underestimate your clients. If you want high caliber clients, treat them like they are and they'll start acting like it. Tell them the bullet points I told you. It sells it almost every time. People will love to hear that your passionate about those qualities and have respect for you that you're really looking out for them and their health. IF you really sense a person is a little impatient just tell them Sircuit is literally the only line that is all chirally corrected and also has such strict USDA and NOP harvesting practices. That they're concentrated so it seems like more $ up front but less expensive in the long run financially and quite possibly health wise.
