Im looking into offering spray tanning services. I wanted to get some advice on different machines and classes offered. Ive seen online courses and wonder if you get enough education to feel confident with your service. And find out how people stared out. Thanks for your time and look forward to hearing what worked for you.
What was your thought process that led you to look into spray tanning?
How many customers mentioned it (assume 25% would actually do it, that is what we found when we added laser hair removal...everyone things its great, but few follow through and keep waxing)
What is your break even # of services on launching services (machine + class + advertising costs) / (price per service - promotional discounts - product cost for each application) = # of services to break even on investment. How many applications per week or month does that work out to be? Given your current client base, is that a reasonable #?
What will differentiate you from SunTan City or some other tanning salon/franchise?
I don't do spray tanning myself, but I have a lady that will be working with me soon that does airbrush tanning. I know she only got certified online and practiced a lot on friends, but that was enough for her. So I guess it depends on how you learn. I think she said she practiced with just a bronzer, so no DHA, but I'm not 100%. Her work is good and she says she stays pretty busy.
