Hi, I am just now getting back into the industry after graduating in 2015 and would like some feedback on scheduling idea I am about to implement. I want to implement a non-refundable deposit fee when a customer schedule an appointment with me to discourage cancellations or should I save this for the second time when they are rescheduling? I don't want to scare off any new customers. Which option do you think is best?

The Institute of Holistic and Transformative Aesthetics is offering a FREE 1-day workshop on advocacy and lobbying skills for aestheticians in Tampa, FL. It will also be an opportunity to discuss current industry situation and educational goals for Aesthetician's in FL. The purpose of this workshop is to become better prepared when attending the Board of Cosmetology's next meeting October 12-13, 2015 in Gainsville, FL.
If you'd like to become an active member of your industry and have a say in what happens to our industry, this is the workshop you'd want to take. What you need to do is:
1) send me an email at IHTAtraining@gmail.com by no later than Sept 12th
2) Let me know your availability to make it to Gainsville Oct 12 and 13 and what issues are important for you to address.
3) Travel, lodging and meal expenses are the individual's responsibility.
4) DEADLINE to express interest and intent is Sept 12th (Sat) in order to prepare materials accordingly. Workshop will be held in Tampa, FL.If you cannot make it to Gainsville, but would like to have your voice heard, the workshop will be your jumping platform to be heard. We will take notes and bring them to the Board.
Let's get our voices heard and improve the standards of our industry in FL!!

I'm getting so excited about my trip out your way! I've never been to Florida before! I'll be in Orlando on October 26th and 27th giving my "Shelley's Show & Tell" workshop. I'm bringing all of my toys (equipment) to show you! We'll also go over some marketing ideas that have worked really well at my skincare center.
