Susan,
The company we purchase the peels from has detailed instructions for each peel and I believe they give ionstruction. I have to look up their info. Most esthetics licensing courses in FL don't go too far into it, however IRSC does, as peels and micros tend to be highly requested services. TCA is the one you have to be really careful with, as it is very easy to go too deep with it,That and Jessner are layered peels. Plus they have substantial down time.
Anyway I'll look up the info and send it.
Good luck!

Hi Susan,

As estheticians, we are allowed to do procedures that affect the skin through the layers of the epidermis only, not into the dermis, so Jessner and TCA peels done no deeper than the basal layer of the epidermis are OK for estheticians to perform without a doctor's supervision.

I read somewhere that skin care is a business that will be growing in the near future. I think that the more aggressive, results oriented procedures will become the bread and butter as opposed to the fluff facials that weere popular befoire the recession. Good luck with your practice!

Hi Susan, I have been in the business for ten years. I have been booth renting for seven years. This is a very challenging time for many professions, especially ours however your love for what you do will shine through and make it all worth while. I was a single mom when I first started in the business, and worked two other jobs while trying to build my client base. It was not easy but I love what I do so much that it paid off. Sadly, business is very slow right now but I have faith that everything happens as it should. I wish you the very best in your business. Good luck and God bless. Stehanie
