Well folks if you cannot find your favorite Dermalogica product at Walmart, you can also check with Sears!

It is my personal opinion that any professional who carries this line, should boycott until they get this line OUT of Walmart and Sears.  I do NOT buy the lame excuse that someone bought a WHOLE boatload of their products and are underselling themselves to get Dermalogica in these big box stores.

It is wrong to undercut the very professionals who have put Dermalogica where they are today.

This is an e-mail in response to my letter to Dermalogica.  Can you believe them?

Dear Cathy,

We would like to confirm that Sears, Walmart nor TJ Maxx are authorized Dermalogica accounts, and we are currently investigating how the retailer obtained the diverted products. Dermalogica remains committed to providing skincare and product education to consumers only through authorized retailers where a licensed skin therapist is on staff.

Sincerely,

The Dermalogica Team

And if you believe that...I have some Arizona oceanfront property to sell you with a great view of the Eiffel Tower...  Get real.  There is NO WAY they don't know how these products are being purchased in such HUGE quantities to sell to an online retailer like WALMART???!!!

For goodness sakes...

I agree with you.  Sear, WalMart and TJ MAXX are just too big for them to claim ignorance.  I think I can sell you London Bridge in Arizona.

Seriously?

They expect us to believe this is "diverted" product?

If there is anything I hate worse than a sellout it is a liar.

Do you know how big an order this would have been to go into all those stores?

It would have been enormous!

They could totally send a "cease and desist" to those stores and legally force the stores to prove where they got it.

My bet - they got it thru Dermalogica directly.

Dermalogica, Pevonia, GloTherapeutics, Jane Iredale...

Wow - look at all the products Sears is selling!

In addition to the above...Repechage, Bioelements, SkinMedica, Obagi, (Proactiv -LOL), Cellex-C, CosMedix...jeez!

WOW!! why are they selling so much?? do they have a salon as part of some of their stores?? what dept would these even be in??

That is TERRIBLE!

These skin care companies are so bad selling out. We as estheticians hope we are carrying and working with a skin care line that has integrity. Why should we bother using any line that a person can buy anywhere.

I am working in a beauty supply store part time. And have a room in the back as an independent contractor.. I have been out of the industry for about  1 1/2 yrs. The product the store sells is Dermalogica. I really never cared that much for that line. I have been trying to decide what to use again.  I was going to use it because they sell it but I would get no commission on anything. Which I don't agree with but I don't make the rules.

Seeing that they have expanded there line to be sold in Sears has really made me not like them even more. So I will continue my search.

Has anyone used Glo Mineral Skin Care line? The rep talked to me and it seemed nice. What do you all think?

Well - since GloTherapeutics is at Sears too you might want to ask them about that first...

Okay ladies, I have two words for you...

PRIVATE LABEL!

Nondy

Or, companies that have a strong commitment to the profession- like Image Skincare & Skin Script.

What company do you private label through, Nondy?

I carry some things from Botanical Science Technologies, and I also like YG Labs.  Le Mieux is also an excellent line to consider.  They actually enlist OUR help to keep their line off the internet...
