Okay ladies - I haven't ordered this peel yet.

It is primarily a salicylic peel for oily/acneic skin?

Who is using it and how do you like it?

Hi Kimberly!  I was wondering, doesn't the vapor of the steam makes it difficult to have a "clear" view while your doing your extractions? Cause I use steam but only while the "enzyme peel" is dong it's work, but while extraction as I use my Magnifying lamp the steam really bathers while trying to look through the glass ... Just wondering!  How you do it?!

Hi Barbara,

I perform extractions the same as you, I wouldn't be able to see through the steam. :) I use the magnifying glass, and I only steam with specific masks, dis encrustation  or enzymes.

Would it be too harsh to use the Glycolic cleanser with the Cranberry Turnover peel?

I use the glycolic cleanser prior to the Cranberry peel.  If you wanted to get more aggressive, you could create an "alpha-beta" peel.  This would by a layer of glycolic first (then neutralize and remove it) and then apply the cranberry peel.  The glycolic is your "alpha" and the cranberry is your "beta."

I think of the glycolic cleanser as a kind of "peel prep".

If I was doing the alpha-beta peel I think I would do the glycolic PEEL as you mentioned

The Gly Cleanser is a potent home care product.  I am using it at home myself. It's amazing - I can tell the days that my coworker uses the glycolic cleanser. And when I used it the other morning, someone asked me if I had a facial the previous day as my skin looked so bright.

Everybody loves this - I even had a client come in and buy this when I wasn't there because she had heard another client rave about it.  Her skin was not quite ready for this product and I wouldn't let her buy it before. LOL

Cindy - thanks for the comment about the glycolic cleanser.  Yes, I feel the same way - it is like a mini facial at home and makes the skin glow.  I my mind, it's one of those "critical, WOW products" in the line.

Now, also If I have a client that really hasnt had a peel or hasnt ever done any thing with or to her skin  would I want to work her into or upto the cranberry peel and possibly glycolic cleanser ect. or can you do this on someone like this right off the bat.

Cheryl:  If someone hasn't had professional treatments ever, I start on a gentle basis - we don't want to scare them off.  I would start with  gentle enzymes for her treatments (working her up to the glycolic and cranberry peel) and for homecare I would start with Green Tea Cleanser, Retinol Scrub, Cucumber Toner, Ageless Hydrating Serum, and an appropriate moisturizer.  If all goes well, then incorporate the Glycolic cleanser after a few weeks.

Thanks Lisa

Cheryl - I DID do this on ONE first time peel client...

I sent her home with the Gly cleanser with strict instructions to use only twice a week prior to her appt in 4 wks. And to use the Green Tea cleanser the rest of the time.

For this one I felt confident that this would be a great way to condition her for her (light) peel.

However for MOST people I would do exactly as Lisa reccomends.

If the client has never had a facial before, the results from the enzymes alone are impressive.

Thanks for that input Cheryl!
