So I had a new client today. She called to make her appt yesterday asking for a Brazilian, to which I replied, "tell me what you mean by a Brazilian". I always say this because everyone's definition is different so I wanted to be sure I knew what we were talking about so that I knew what price to quote her and how long it would take. She replied that she wanted all of the hair removed on the front including the labia, but nothing on the back. I was like, "ok", let's just see what you have to work with then we can go from there. She also told me that this would be her second Brazilian ever and that she often gets ingrown hair and that the last (first) person to do her Brazilian had spent a significant amount of time tweezing strays and removing ingrowns. I simply replied, "really, well we'll see what you have going on when you get here."
Enter my lovely new client. She had nice course, long (1"+) hair. And as she stated, nothing on the behind to speak of. As I waxed, she began to tell me about her first Brazilian experience, and said that the person used soft wax (I am a hard waxer), tweezed forever which was very painful, didn't remove the labia hair and she was in the room for an hour and 1/2. Needless to say, I got her from pants off to pants on in less than 20 minutes. She was shocked that it was so fast and relieved that she didn't have the irritation and soreness that she experienced after her first treatment.
This goes to show what I have always said, "client's have no idea how long this type of service should take. If they are used to it taking an hour, that's how long they think it takes. It shouldn't take more than 30 minutes to perform this service. Period. And we shouldn't be torturing our client's with the tweezing. All we should be using to perform this service is a good wax and strong technique.

Could not have said it better myself Crickett!!! My clients are shocked how quick the treatment is (and should be) and that all nooks and crannies are hairless when its all done. Oddly enough I've ben told by more than one client that they had paid top dollar for 'Brazilians' elsewhere but they would not include the bum and did a half ass job on the labia. Some clients have come to me saying they had been working up the nerve for 2-3 years to get another one due to the trauma of their first one. I feel horrified for clients everywhere who think getting a Brazilian is a nightmarish bloodbath.
Wow thats amazing!
