I use a crock-pot, it was only $18. It works beautifully, even has a keep warm setting.
how many towels can you put in there at one time?
8 - 10 towels. Crock pots come in all sizes.
I got mine on ebay but I will say that after only using it since Feb, it has already cracked on the front and where the handle is and I have no idea why. It says you can put 24 towels but I beg to differ on that, maybe 4 tiny hand towels. I like the crock pot idea if you don't need a bunch heated at once...that will be my next option :)
ok thanks, I think I'll try the crockpot option
Universal Companies is great & if you get the towel cabi it not only heats, but sanitizes your towels!
thanks for everyones suggestions. I found one on ebay for only $11.99. This shipping of course is $38.00, but overall still a low price! I hope it works longer than a few months, but if it doesn't, I'll go to the crock pot idea.
I to have been looking for a towel cabbie- I bought one on Amazon and it rusted in 4 weeks - I truly believe you get what you pay for. I have done some research and found out that you want the inside to be made out of aluminum. Universal currently has a sale I believe a mini is $165. I have thought about the croc pot to but I don't think that looks professional just my opinion and perhaps "hang up".
This is similar to what I purchased 4-5 years ago.
It is the same price too

don't get the smaller ones - they hardly hold any towels at all...and if you are doing body scrubs you need a lot of towels.
Anyway I've had No problems, it works beautifully.
Crockpots are great in a pinch, I used one for years when working for a spa that had a cheap owner.
I keep a crockpot at work in case of emergency.
Good advice Cindy!
