Don't want to seem like i am copying another local esty!!

Help! I have been at the day spa where I rent for under a year now. I have recently been on the search for trying other skin care lines other than what i am using now. I currently use Glo Therapetics. I like it, but don't love it. So my search continues. I have been considering Skin Scripts. I was very excited about it until I just discovered that the former esty that used to be here ( who just up and abandoned the spa a year ago to open her own spa just 10 miles away-no notice to the spa owner) is currently using Skin Scripts. So now I am not sure if I even want to carry it. I don't want to seem like I am trying to copy her, but it's a small town where i am and word gets around. Any advice? Thanks in advance!

I do understand your concerns and fear, BUT does this mean that all the other thousands of spas and estys are copying her by using the product? What you really need to be asking yourself is if you really 'love' this product. One thing I've learned is that if 'you' aren't passionate about what you back-bar then your retail revenue will suffer. I also believe that if you really love the product you should be a walking advertisement for the products you use—make sense?  I get a lot of compliments on my skin, and it's an open door for me to say that it's all about consistency, what I put in my body and the products that I use for skincare. People are more interested in seeing results. So I think you shouldn't concern yourself with what your predecessor did or didn't do and what she is or isn't using this is your moment to shine ;)  Also, some unsolicited advice, never talk about her and what she did, right or wrong, with any clients or co-workers, it might bite you in the butt later. Stay positive and beautiful and you will reap with rewards.

Hope this helps and GOOD LUCK finding a product you 'love'!

Ditto what Lori said!!

love your respond. We should all follow this motto.

There is such a wide variety of products out there. I also agree with lori. I love Eminence Organic product line... Expensive but effective. I have worked with G.M Collin (awesome line for mature & 1st signs of wrinkles), Pevonia is also organic & worth its price for beautiful skin. PCA is great if you love doing chemical peels, Tuel is another great line & has a trial kit for all skin types (acne, combination, dry & sensitive). But most importantly, until you start to become familiar with different lines its hard to decide. Its important that you get to know a line before you can determine its fit for you.

Thank you ladies for the input. I completely agree as I continue my search. @Lori-I agree with you about speaking about others. I have never spoken negatively about anyone else to my clients. I find that highly unprofessional.

I've actually been using Herbalife skin care and absolutely love it. It's inexpensive in comparison to most lines and  people really love it. I also use Phoenix Rising Skin Care which is an all natural line. Both outsell my dermalogica line which costs 2x as much.

check out Herbalife at www.goherbalife.com/celebrityweightloss and phoenix rising at www.phoenixrisingskincare.com

hope this helps. let me know if you have any questions

I wouldn't feel like you were "copying" me if you used the same line but I guess every person is different.  The biggest thing is finding a line you LOVE, so if that happens to be what she used before, then it is.

I use G.M. Collin and love it.  You should look into it, they have great clinical facial kits.
