I was talking with another Esthetician recently and she told me that the reason that getting waxed under six week from previous wax was less painful is bc the hair had not been anchored in yet so it glides out easier and is less painful. Has anyone ever heard this before and is that true because I never understood it that way and was wondering if I missed something?
that doesn't make sense to me. the hair detaches from the root after six weeks, so the hair is"anchored" within the six weeks of growth..I believe it is less painful because the hair has grown back finer and is not as long
The follicle weakens causing the root of the hair to not be as bulbous. The root is not as bulbous so it makes the exit easier and also the hair grows back finer and not as coarse as when it has been shaved, so makes it less painful. Hope that makes sense. I should maybe wait until tomorrow to msg you as I am pretty tired and half asleep!
