What are you looking for in your skin care line?

If you can identify the type of client/skin conditions that you prefer to work with that's a start.

I have been on Esthetician forums for a few years...I have seen raves about professional lines that I didn't care for. And lines that I DO like, not everyone does.

So what do YOU want?

(me - I love enzymes and peels so Skin Script was a good fit. I supplement with products from other lines and ALWAYS keep an open mind!)

Most people seem to really like Image. What don't you like about it?

I am looking for a line that can produce results. I like Image because it is easy to use, both for me and the client, but I don't feel like the line packs much power (if that makes sense). I just ordered the professional sample pack and the retail sample pack from Skin Script, so I'm really excited to try that. 

Right now I am offering customized facials (based on the client's skin concerns) and chemical peels (from Image). For the most part I am treating more mature skin, but would like to branch out and see more teens in my treatment room. Overall I would like to help people with all types of skin concerns.

Since i have yet to find a line that I love, I haven't stocked any product on my shelves yet. I have only done custom orders from Image for clients that ask. I would love to stock product that I can confidently send home to my clients. And I am all for supplementing from other lines, so maybe that will be my niche :) 

How do you feel about John Masters Organics? 

I would love to know your thoughts about any of this and am open to suggestions.

Hey Tiffanie, I know finding the perfect line for your business can be a daunting task. I am one of those people that LOVES Image. I can say personally that Image has changed my skin tremendously. I have been freckled with hyperpigmentation and redness my entire life. With their Vital-C line and their Ageless line, I have experienced great results. The majority of my esthetician friends love this line for the same reason. I am in now way associated with Image, by the way...I just like their products and have been using them for over 9 years now!

Have you researched the ingredients in the Image products? You will find glycolic, salicylic, lactic, kojic, stemcells and peptides. Not to mention antioxidants and anti-inflammatories and great hydrators, and those are at the top of the ingredient lists. They have sophisticated delivery systems which get the powerful ingredients where they need to go- which is very important in skin care as you probably know.

Have you ordered any products from Image to try? If you want to feel power, try the Ageless serum or Total Resurfacing Mask, you should feel the tingle all over where you apply it.

Their peels are AMAZING! The Lactic/Kojic is pretty awesome and my favorite. Just the other night I used their enhancer retinol serum mixed with a little vitamin C serum at night and today I am getting such a great peel from it! I am flaking all over my face. Although not pretty right now, I know my skin is going to look great underneath!

I hope you will take another look at Image and you might be able to see that they ARE very active. They even have a doctor only line with a great TCA peel and products.  :) Regardless, I am wishing you good luck finding something that fits your needs!

I actually have been using a line called Nutrimetics from Australia for 13 years.  It's one of the only lines that I can use on my very sensitive skin and my clients love it, plus I don't have to keep inventory and ship the products directly to my clients.  They are super happy with the products and the whole process, and they have products for every skin type.  I love that nobody is irritated and everyone sees results.  The other thing that I love is the high quality and high tech ingredients without fillers or outrageous costs, and they are so concentrated I don't even need backbar.  They seem to last forever.  The only thing that I get elsewhere is my peel product.  I've been using Control and it works fine but I'm looking into Hydropeptides' Peels.  Thoughts are welcome!
