I'm looking for a good Glycolic Peel! Can anyone help me than you.
Hello Cherrica here. I think a peel is a peel is a peel. All chemicals do the same thing, exfoliate the superficial layer of skin to some degree. There are several types of exfoliating peels (enzymes, beta acids, alpha acids) knowledge of these are good. I think most important is to know the condition that you want to address and the clients skin type. Once you've learned a particular peel, you will be able to modify how you will reach the results that you want either by using a stronger percentage of the peel or incorporating an additional service like ultrasonic or microdermabrasion. It is best to have used the machine on the client a few times prior before adding a peel for deeper or better exfoliation. The kind of peel is not really important (brand name) as long as it works and you see improvement a series of peels will usually be required to achieve the best results. The strength of the peel and clients skin type is most important. It will have a lot to do with timing the peel so not to scare the skin. Taking the time to learn best methods and treatments for the individual is usually appreciated. Clients go by what you say, you are the professional. So don't worry to much on which brand chemical peel to use. Just be knowledgeable of strenght and how it works. Use other services to improve results. And please make sure your clients do home care to compliment the treatment. They should exfoliate or at least use a treatment to help correct their condition. Good Luck, hope I was helpful.
