I've been invited to speak/give a demo at Long Beach Show in California

I'm very excited to announce that I was invited to speak at the general session at the LNE show at Long Beach on September 11, 2011. I will be speaking about acne and demonstrating how to do extractions. I'll keep you posted as to the time.

Great Laura! I'd love it if you came to the Philly show in Oct too :) Believe it or not, we did not focus on extractions in school. I know the "theory" on how to do them but have not had much professional experience doing them. PA is generally pretty conservative with extractions, I think...

It's the ICES...given by Dermascope and LNE & Spa. There was supposed to be an extraction demonstration by one of Rhonda Allison's people last year but there were technical difficulties with the camera and no one could actually see what the guy was doing. He seemed a bit extraction "happy" too...not sure I agreed with some of what he was saying...even though we didn't learn much about it in school what he said contradicted what I learned...it would be good to get some perspective from someone who specializes in acne and performs them all the time. He was all about the lancet and I'm pretty sure we can't use them in PA unless it is in a med-spa...so some lancet-free techniques would be good.

Oh thats a priviledge isnt it! Greatly needed info too. Im finding that lots of Estys dont or wont do extractions. Knowledge is power!

I wish I can attend but it's too far. It'd be nice if they would have more demos/classes in San Jose area. Any chance you can request to do an acne/extraction class at the San Jose Face and Body Expo this August?
