Hello!

Does anyone have any information regarding whether or not you need a seller's permit to sell skincare products?  I'm an independant contractor at a small spa and I want to start selling product, but I want to make sure I'm abiding by any rules/regulations.

I'm based in California.

Thanks,

Michelle Borrero

Yes, because the State of California is going to want their sales tax! See Andrea's reply.
I am based in California also & am required to obtain a Seller's Permit in order to sell skincare products.  We need to collect State Sales Tax.
This will allow you to Resell but also buy wholesale through certain company's and you can build your business with other supporting products :) Good luck!
