Angela,

The cosmetologist issue really fries my patients.  I’ll work with you to find BIG GUNS to have our scope of practice rewritten.   The other issue I have is Massage Therapists can do facials??????  Yet, we are forbidden to touch the head?

I’m hoping to be able to make it to the Skin Script Seminar.  Maybe we can meet up and start a plan of action.

I just wanted to pass along my absolute agervation about IDPR & the way the esty scope of practice is written!!!! I have been back & 4th speaking with IDPR & the way the attorney there explained it to me sounds as though we are licensed to cleanse & apply makeup!!!!! Here is what they stated "it's not so much the penetration issue it is the intended affect". It was suggested to me that I get some & I quote "big guns behind me & contact legislation" to get the scope of practice rewritten!!!!! Anyone with any suggestions???? Also can anyone explain why our scope & a cosmetologist is the same & we have HUNDReDS more hours on skin then they do, in fact I think they only have 75!!!!!!?????

Hello all,

I’m happy to find an Illinois group.  Not that I have anything against California, but it’s nice to know there is a group in my own state.

Thanks for the heads up Shelley! I don't have the Radiancy FSD but would love to talk to your contact about a possible skin care treatment. You can pass my info if you'd like!
